rain forest

it's been raining all day today, which helps make our hot little house nice & cool again. we had to take molly to the vet this morning and by the time we got home, we were all soaked! it was fun!

i made this rain forest for mum, i took it to her and told her what it was - she was quite surprised and happy that i knew what it was called.





we played with blocks mostly today because of the rain, and we also read a lot of books. mum bought me a new peppa pig book called hide & seek and we've read it about a gazillion times today!

WOW!

so the other day mum went into town and i went on an adventure with nanna, and when i got home that evening there was a big surprise for me for my birthday from pappa & guggy!!!

it's a cubby with a desk on the side, and the steps can be flipped over to be a slide and there's even a blue sprinkler bar that mum & dad can attach the hose-pipe to for those 35C+ days to cool me down!

mum has taken the desk part off for now because i keep climbing onto it and trying to climb over the top of the side of the cubby and she's worried i'd fall down and hurt myself (which is never a good moment) but she said she'd put it back on when i was a bit bigger

here are some photos of me playing on it today, i like to hide from molly in the bottom but somehow she always finds me... i also like to call it a "doggy house" because i think it looks a bit like harry & molly's doggy house i suppose

daddy is in sydney again and mum didn't feel like cooking tonight so we walked up to the fish & chip shop and got take-away - it was yummy!

it's my birthday today!

i'm two years old today - woo hoo!
here are some photos of my party yesterday and afterwards when we opened presents at home. we went to the collingwood children's farm and it was lots of fun!





















then today i went to childcare for the first time, i took mum & dad with me so they could see i would be just fine! it was fun, we only stayed for about 2 hours and will go back on wednesday morning and friday morning for two hours again to slowly get into the routine of it all. i had heaps of fun and two of my friends, daniel & ella, were there too! here are some photos from this morning:

oh i do like to be beside the seaside!

well, we had a great time down in point lonsdale (when it wasn't 41C!) but we are all glad to be back at home now. although we do miss the air conditioning when it's hot here in melbourne!

here are some photos of me at the beach, at first i wasn't too sure about all that sand and water but by day 10 i was loving it!

i had my birthday party today but mum will put photos of that up tomorrow hopefully (she's a little tired you see, something to do with being pregnant i think). more beach photos to follow in the next few days too, so come back again soon!
